On Wednesday November 7th, the streets of Dublin city were closed off for the Run in the Dark – an annual run to support the work of the Mark Pollock Trust. This incredible organisation is exploring the intersection where humans and technology collide, catalysing collaborations that have never been done before in the quest to find a cure for paralysis in our lifetime. The advances that have been made so far are fantastic and the funds and continued support will hopefully enable the Mark Pollock Trust to achieve their mission.
Last year we hoped to have more of the team involved in the run, so we were delighted that 14 DNMers took part – some doing the 5km and others braving the 10km!
There were many a sigh of relief that the rain stayed away and it was a pleasant evening for a run (especially compared to the wind and rain of last year!)
Here we are (well most of us) pumped up and ready for road:
We all made it across the finish line – filled with pride and a huge sense of achievement!
Smiles all ’round
We finished the evening off as we like to do – in a cosy pub have a few well-deserved beverages and some nibbles!
A great cause, great team and great craic – now to start the training for next year!!
