On Wednesday November 22nd, the streets of Dublin were once again closed off for the annual Run in the Dark. Team DNM were delighted to take part to help the Mark Pollock Trust raise funds to continue their research into finding a cure for paralysis. On a wet, windy and quite frankly freezing evening – this video on the incredible progress the Mark Pollock Trust has made so far gave us just the motivation we needed.
Both the 5km and 10km runs started from Custom House Quay and so off we took into the night.
Ready for road – pre race!
‘Twas a bit wet and chilly.
But even the terrible weather conditions couldn’t dampen our team spirit!
Everyone crossed the finish line and we were all beaming with pride and achievement (especially the ‘non-runners’ among us).
We finished off the evening with well deserved pizza and pints in a warm and cosy pub – perfect. A great cause, great run and a great team made the hobbling around for the next two days worth it!
Next year, we hope to have EVEN more of the DNM family out for the run!
