We’re looking forward to running our next Breakfast Briefing session in the Westin Hotel on September 29th.
Our focus on service intelligence and continuous compliance has taken us beyond just applying a traditional approach to a new paradigm in cloud computing. With that in mind, this briefing will be focusing on GDPR, the importance of being Well-Architected and Next Generation Managed Services
We have limited spaces available, so if you are interested, register here.
Agenda for the morning
8.00 Registration and Breakfast
8.30 – 9.15am AWS and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Bertram Dorn – AWS Specialized Solutions Architect – Security/Compliance
AWS welcomes the arrival of the GDPR. The new, robust requirements raise the bar for data protection, security, and compliance, and will push the industry to follow the most stringent controls, helping to make everyone more secure. All AWS services will comply with the GDPR when it becomes enforceable on May 25, 2018.
9.20 – 9.50am Customer Speaker Martin Peters from DoneDeal talks Big Data. He’ll discuss their experience of analytics using Big Data services in AWS, and share real-world experience of creating and running a solution using AWS Kinesis, Spark on EMR, S3 data lakes and Redshift orchestrated with AWS datapipeline.
9.55 – 10.30am Amazon Web Services
The practical guide to migrating and operating in the cloud.
Many enterprises migrating to AWS require expertise, tools, and alignment of business and IT strategy. In this section, we will cover how organisations have accelerated their migration, and their time to results, through working with DNM. Our focus on service intelligence and continuous compliance have taken us beyond just applying a traditional approach to a new paradigm in cloud computing.
We hope to have an open discussion around the following topics:
- The importance of being well architected
- Mass migration – a proven approach
- My new DevOps team!
- New Class of Service – AWS Next Gen Managed Service
10.30am Q&A Session
We hope to see you all there for an information packed morning – register now!
